£480k fully-supervised remedial works package

Wingrove Law has successfully negotiated a comprehensive remedial works package worth an estimated £480,000 for clients whose new build house required extensive remedial works. Prior to Wingrove Law’s involvement, the developer had sought to exclude the homeowners from any involvement in determining the scope and extent of works, refused access to inspect the works whilst underway, and attempted to exclude all liability for the works undertaken. Wingrove Law helped the homeowners negotiate a remedial works package that ensured every single defect identified by their own expert surveyor would be dealt with comprehensively with all work subject to daily supervision and record keeping by the clients’ expert at the developer’s cost, included exceptional provision for alternative accommodation and saw the clients recover 100% of their legal costs and expenses together with substantial compensation.
